About Dawn Sellers:
Dawn Sellers is an award-winning writer, producer, and director with a focus on both feature films and episodic storytelling. Her latest project, Almost Boston, a comedic television pilot, is currently making its way through the festival circuit. An advocate for local independent film, Dawn is the founder of POV Filmmakers, a Portland-based nonprofit dedicated to connecting and supporting local filmmakers. She also produces and hosts the Oregon Indie Film podcast and co-creates for both screen and stage alongside her husband through their production company, Broken Toe Productions. Dawn shares writing inspiration and craft insights through Story Lab, her Substack newsletter for screenwriters and storytellers at every stage.

This 3-hour workshop introduces the core principles of screenwriting. From generating ideas to building the foundation of a screenplay, participants will create a compelling logline and a basic story outline using the three-act structure. No experience is required — just bring your curiosity, creativity, and a story to tell.
