Setting Up an Audition-Quality Studio at Home
Auditioning for voice over work today means one thing: you need a reliable home studio. But figuring out how to set up a space that sounds professional (without breaking the bank) can feel overwhelming.

That’s what this class is for. Whether you’re brand-new to voiceover or looking to upgrade your current setup, we’ll cover everything you need to create a studio that will get you noticed by casting directors and clients.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to:

-
Recognize the difference between an audition-quality studio and a broadcast-quality studio – what’s actually necessary to start auditioning now, and what can wait until you’re booking at a higher level.
-
Choose the right space in your home – even if you don’t have a spare room. We’ll talk about closets, corners, and creative sound solutions.
-
Select the right equipment – microphones, interfaces, headphones, and software, with clear recommendations at beginner, mid-range, and pro levels.
-
Understand sound treatment – simple steps you can take to cut down on echo, reduce outside noise, and create a clean, audition-quality sound.
-
Set up your workflow – how to record, listen back, and deliver files without frustration.
-
Avoid common mistakes – what not to waste your money on and what to do instead.
